Market success

My lovely friend Louise (and partner in crime with our little side business called Magnus and Mathilda) and I did our first market this weekend. It was wonderful to see our creations come to life and all of it looked so different set up and decorated instead of laying in bunches in my spare room. We met some lovely people and got a lot of good feedback. We're doing another market this weekend - it should be packed! I'm really surprised that my little mushroom ornaments were selling like hot-cakes. I'll be making more for this weekend's market and some NEW little goodies.

Here are some photos of us and our stall. Our etsy shop will be up and running on Monday - we're taking a little break :o)

Woodland kitsch

I'm still exploring etsy and finding the most creative things. Today's blog is dedicated to woodland creatures which everybody can't seem to get a enough of. Here are my favorites for today.

On my bedside table

Here's a look at what's on my bedside table today. Just noticed there's a blue and green theme going on. I always gravitate toward these colors even though I don't mean to. I think it has something to do with natural colors from sky and ground.
Ingredients: free lamp from a friend, a painting of the 12 Apostles in Australia by my mother-in-law, handmade wood owl from Russia, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain on loan from library, Inside Out magazine, Fossil tin from a watch that I bought years ago, blue recycled Italian leather passport holder, blue Cameo pocket mirror, handmade glass heart earrings from New Zealand, and a half eaten Pink Lady apple

The table I bought on ebay and painted white. Click here to see the story on those
